A modern take on the illusion setting, this style of ring uses smaller stones surrounding the centre to make the stone appear larger, or add contrast depending on the colours of stones used. This is the second most popular style of engagement ring after a solitaire as it's great value for money when it comes to the total carat weight compared to the size the centre stone appears to be.
